I have been asked on Instagram to post the recipe below.

Today’s recipe is one of the easiest breakfasts I have ever tried; all you need is a small food processor and you’re ready.



1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 ripe banana

1/2 avocado

A handful of raw nuts of your choice

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp spirulina (optional)

Toppings including flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, frozen blackberries, almonds, etc.

A drizzle of agave syrup

All you have to do is mix all the ingredients except the toppings in the food processor, place in a bowl and top with as much toppings available.

I will take the opportunity to talk about the some of the ingredients found in this recipe.

Almond milk is a very good dairy replacement especially for vegan people, people with allergies or those with lactose intolerance. Always aim for an unsweetened replacement.

Raw nuts have been proved to reduce the risk of chronic disease. They have many health benefits that can be found in the following article by Dr. Mercola:

Pumpkin seeds contain magnesium which is highly beneficial to maintain a healthy blood pressure, as well as zinc which is essential to the immune system. They also contain plant-based omega-3 fats, possess anti-diabetic effects and are beneficial for both men and women as they decrease of an unhealthy prostate and decrease symptoms of post menopause. Agave Syrup is a perfect sweetener and a sugar replacement as it is completely plant-based and vegan with a lower glycemic index than other sweeteners.
